If having fun is important to you in Baldur’s Gate 3, try these classes.
Due to the fact that there is no bad choice, picking a class in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be hard. All classes work because you’ll be in charge of a group of characters, so you can base your party on anything you want. If no one tells you what to do, you’ll probably pick what you like or what you think will work best.
What about the most fun things? Even though it depends on the person, some classes give you more choices, and in Baldur’s Gate 3, more choices usually mean more fun. Fighter

If you want to feel like you’re playing a Metal Gear Solid game, the rogue class could be the most boring or the most fun. You might even hate rogues if you’re not into stealth at all, because you’d have to carry one around to open doors and set off traps.
But if you like being sneaky, they’re the best at it. They can do whole levels by themselves and almost never have to fight anyone because of how good their sneak attacks are. They’re so good that you can skip whole parts of battle and save your party’s resources for fights that they have to do.
Monk
Some people really like monks, but their stories don’t always fit with the rest of the Dungeons & Dragons world. So there aren’t many or any monks on your journey through Baldur’s Gate 3. You either like the strange mix of themes or you don’t.
Still, that’s what makes Monks so much fun to play. Nobody else can fight like you can; no partner can do what you can. The limited conversation options are also a lot of fun, showing how most people feel when they have to deal with the religious way of life.
Warlock
Warlocks are a good way to start learning about spellcasters because they don’t give you too many options or spell slots. Warslocks are a great class to start with if you want to see how fun the different spells are. They even have their own speech to go with their story.
But after you get used to them, you should move on to the harder classes. You can only use a small number of powers at a time, even though many skills are shared between classes.
Cleric
Everyone wants a Cleric on their team, but no one wants to be one. Even though they are the best doctors in the game, their theme makes them seem like extras. There is no one who wants to be the guide. Everyone wants to be the main character.
But Clerics can cast spells that no one else can, spells that are so strong that other classes are jealous. Spirit Guardians is an easy one to spot because you can choose the type of damage and the Cleric can deal harm just by walking up to someone.
Wizard
Wizards are the best at magic for a reason. They can use the most spells and even learn some that are only available to them. As a Wizard, one of the things you enjoy most is learning all the books you find. This way, you can solve any problem that comes up.
The bad thing about this is that it costs a lot. You won’t want to use many of the powerful scrolls you find at first, because if you let your Wizard learn them, they can be used indefinitely later on. Still, the game has a lot of good spells, and being able to use most of them is always fun.
Druid
Druids and Clerics are a lot alike, even though they have very different skill lists. These are both support classes that have access to strong weapons that make them the best on the battlefield. However, Druid magic taste better, and they can also use the Wild Shape ability.
It’s most fun to play as a Druid and change into different animals. You can choose between a huge Owlbear to rip your enemies to pieces and a tiny Cat to fit through small gaps. Just don’t talk to people as an animal, because most of them will attack you right away.
Sorcerer
It might look like sorcerers aren’t as good as wizards, but that’s only because they don’t have as many spells. They are the best in terms of quality, and they can also be one of the most fun classes.
Sorcerers can change their powers with Metamagic to make them less likely to be blocked, to make them more powerful, or to hit more than one target. And if you really want to make things more fun, the Wild Magic Sorcerer is a great choice. It has a lot of random effects that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Paladin
Most players choose the Paladin class, and there’s a good reason for that. They are very good at both attack and defense, and they also have helpful skills. They are also the face of the party because they have a high Charisma score and do well on most Persuasion checks.
Most of the time, being useful and having fun are not the same thing. But for some people, they always are. Also, Paladins give you consequences for the conversation choices you make. For example, there are special situations for when your oath forces you to tell the truth but you feel like you have to lie.
Barbarian
When fighting as a Barbarian, other classes look like they’re nothing compared to you. Putting one together in any way you choose will let you play in a fun and violent way. One standard way is to throw enemies at each other.

Bard
Any list of fun things will be different for each person, but Bards have all the fun things that other classes do and more. Bards have Fireball because they can get any magic. If that’s what makes Doodle Baseball fun for you, you can get it.
That’s not all that makes them great. The unique conversation is also great, and the NPCs’ answers are very lengthy. The fact that they come with music adds a lot of strategy to the game. You can play fun music to keep people busy while the rest of your party gets ready for their turn behind them.
